Everett L Craigmiles

Everett Lavere Craigmiles, 85, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024 in Winter Haven, FL. 

He was born on March 18, 1939 in Hamburg, Illinois to the late James Everett and Nancy Lucille (Bauser) Craigmiles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Craigmiles-Emerick and his second wife, Charlene Craigmiles. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Durlin Craigmiles, Virgil Craigmiles and Norman Craigmiles; and by one sister, Verlie Edwards.

Everett is survived by his son, Shawn (Janet) Craigmiles of Lake Wales, FL, one brother, Rick Craigmiles, and two sisters Diane Null and Grace Keen. 

Everett loved to fix things and spent most of his career as an automotive and small engine mechanic. He also found joy later in his working life mowing lawns, roofing and briefly working at the Tampa Bay, FL docks helping to unload shipping containers.

He was known for his warm smile, eyes that always hinted at a little mischief, and for his desire to help others. Everett always wanted to stay busy and, most recently, could often be found sitting in the garage working with his tools and talking to everyone who passed by.

Everett will be greatly missed by those who knew him and cared for him and will never be forgotten.
