Nadine Kathyrn Guerry

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Nadine Kathryn Slaughter Guerry announces her passing on December 12, 2024, at the age of 96 in Georgia. Born on September 18, 1928, in Florida, Nadine lived a life marked by kindness and loyalty, embodying the values she held dear throughout her years.

A devoted homemaker, Nadine dedicated her life to nurturing her family with love and care. Her home was a haven, filled with the warmth of her generous spirit and the aroma of her unparalleled cooking, a testament to her loving nature and her remarkable culinary skills. Nadine was an avid member of the Church of Christ, where she found joy and community. She cherished simple pleasures, spending countless hours tending to her yard, which was a reflection of the beauty she nurtured in life. In her leisure, she found delight in word puzzles, a testament to her sharp mind, and cherished the camaraderie and excitement of bowling in her earlier years.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents, siblings, and her cherished husband, Malcom Guerry, Nadine's legacy continues through her daughters: Faye Lewis, Karen (Curtis) Hooker, and Cindy (Lonnie) Johns. She was a beloved grandmother to Sidney (Kristi) Lewis, Michelle (Clay) Wade, Christopher (Andrea) Peterson, Dustin Henderson, Matthew Johns (Holly), and Hannah Johns, and had the joy of seeing her family extend to several great-grandchildren.

Nadine will be remembered for her giving heart and loyalty to those she loved. Her gentle spirit and welcoming nature touched all who knew her, creating bonds that will endure beyond her time on earth. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, inspiring all who knew her to live with the same grace and warmth she embodied.
