Bill dedicated over 30 years of service to the City of St. Petersburg, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community. His tireless work ethic and commitment to making a difference were hallmarks of his career, and his contributions left a lasting legacy. Bill also contributed to his community as the President and Treasurer of the Sons of the American Legion Post 14, demonstrating his dedication to service beyond his professional life.

While Bill worked hard, he also knew how to embrace life to its fullest. He found joy in family outings, time spent with friends, traveling with his wife, and his favorite pastimes. Bill’s enthusiasm for life was contagious, reminding everyone to appreciate the moments that truly matter.

Bill is survived by his wife Andrea Clay; their children Jordan Clay (Morgan) and Allison Clay; his granddaughter Marvel Clay; his brothers Gary Clay and Bob Clay; his sister Diane Morelli (Frank); his sister-in-law Donna Jones (Tom); his nieces and nephews Lindsay Brazell (Kyle), Joe Morelli, Heather Sabetta (Alex), and Travis Jones (Kayla); and a host of family and friends who will continue to honor his memory.
