Lora Lee Francis passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024 at the age of 93 surrounded by the love and prayers of her family.
She was born October 27, 1931 in Lemoore, California. She is survived by her children, Amy, Tom, Anne, John, Sister Immaculata, Ray, Joe, Lisa, Catherine, 68 grandchildren and 98 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Captain Thomas A. Francis USN (Ret.), her brother, John Dockstader, III, her son, Paul Joseph, three grandchildren, and son-in-law, Bob Hambleton.
Her faith was foremost in her life, passing on her love for daily Mass, the Saints, the Blessed Mother, the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Handing on her faith to her children and grandchildren was the main focus of her life. Friends and family are blessed by the tremendous example she set living the faith in her daily life.
Please join the family at the viewing on December 16, 2024, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 3901 Woodburn Rd., Annandale, VA, 22003.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on December 17, 2024 at 11:00am with a reception immediately following at the parish hall. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
