Donnie was born on July 17, 1950 in Savannah Georgia. Donnie was a simple man who loved spending time with those he cared for. He had a charismatic heart that would help those in their time of need and never complained. He was a man of faith and took great pride in serving his Lord and Savior as an usher at Springfield's Oaks Church.
Donnie was a truthful man who would share his opinions both politically and socially and would laugh about those who disagreed. In Donnie's free time he could be found watching Fox News and he even made his debut on Fox & Friends, while living in Statesboro. He was a huge fan of WWE and would watch wrestling every Friday night. Donnie also was a huge supporter of WaWa; an American chain of convenience stores and gas stations originating in the Philadelphia metropolitan area; and attended almost every grand opening in the state of Florida.
Donnie was a man who understood the importance of hard work and dedicated over 25 years of service in various roles while working at Publix Supermarket. Donnie was a well rounded individual but enjoyed the simplicities of life and saw the positive in every situation.
There at the gates of heaven awaiting for his arrival were his beloved parents, Harvell and Grace Woodcock, and his brother, Wayne Chitty. Left to cherish his beautiful memory is his loving siblings: Ronald Gene Chitty (Debbie), Judy "Charli" Mitchell, Brenda Jane Trimboli, Rebecca Diane Gregory (William), Marie Sanders (Mike). He is also survived by his beloved cat, Psycho and countless extended family members and friends.
