Eric James Harrold

Eric James Harrold passed away on December 8, 2024 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Eric was born in Greencastle, Indiana on August 23, 1971. He lived in several states throughout his life, but he truly loved the mountains in Colorado. He spent most of his time outdoors and was passionate about pottery, cooking, reading, and gardening.

After graduating from Marion Center Area High School in PA, he moved to Indiana, Florida, New Hampshire, New Mexico, and finally to Colorado. Although his jobs varied, he was most proud of his position of chef at an early childhood center in Portales, New Mexico. The students loved “Mr. Eric”, and he was able to shine making nutritious meals at the school.

Eric loved mixing spice blends for new recipes and writing hilarious letters to family. He expressed his creativity by making pottery pieces and creating new glazes. His kindness and gentleness showed in his love for his dog Brock and his cat, Tiki. He also enjoyed nurturing plants back to life and working in his mom’s pottery studio and Nadeau Studio in Colorado Springs.

Eric never lost his sense of humor, kindness, and creativity that defined him. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Eric is survived by his mother Rita Nichols, stepfather Fred Wilbur, sisters Jennifer Harper (husband Jesse), Paula Rowell (husband Chris), nephews Troy (wife Amber) and Kyllian, niece Naomi, as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick James Harrold in 2000.

While there will be no formal services, Eric‘s ashes will be scattered in Wilderness Memorial Park in Woodland Park, CO at a later date. Condolences may be offered on the Spring’s Funeral Home Memorial page.
