Rose Anneliese David

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Anneliese David on December 6, 2024, at the age of 93, on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Rose lived a rich and adventurous life, always radiating warmth, joy, and a love for life that touched everyone around her.

Born in Frankfurt, Germany on April 20, 1931, to Elizabeth and Otto Zotz, Rose was the eldest of three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two younger sisters, Marina and Ingrid. In 1954, she married her beloved husband, Warren, and together they shared a life full of travel, adventure, and love. Their journeys took them to Toronto, Hawaii, San Francisco, and finally, Hilton Head Island—her most cherished home.

Rose had a deep passion for life. She loved golfing, cruising, and driving around Hilton Head Island, enjoying the scenery and the peaceful atmosphere. She found joy in entertaining friends, sharing stories of her early life, her travels, and her wisdom on how to live a good life. A fan of great food, Rose’s favorite restaurant was Frankie Bones, and she could often be found enjoying a glass of Prosecco and the company of others.

Although Rose lived in many places, Hilton Head Island held a special place in her heart. She embraced each day with gratitude, and in her final days, she expressed a wish that there be no tears at her passing. Instead, she looked forward to a joyous reunion with Warren, embarking on an eternal cruise together.

Rose’s family and friends will miss her dearly, but her legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in all who knew her.

A private burial ceremony will be held on January 6, 2025.
