Thomas Murphy, age 89, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024  at his home in Lynnwood, WA. Born on November 15, 1935, in Seattle, to James and Geraldine Murphy. Tom went to school in Seattle and began his career in the meat business at an early age. He married Gail on December 17th, 1960, they shared 64 wonderful years together. Tom lived, played and worked in Seattle throughout his entire life.

Tom worked in the meat business with Lucky stores for many years. He had true passion for his work and ended up retiring with Lucky stores as a district supervisor. Tom's passions extended beyond his work. He loved to travel with Gail to many different locations around the world, as well as the weekend and summer trips on his 2 boats throughout the years. His family, travel, and boating were some of his biggest passions. Tom always had the ability to make anyone feel welcome when friends and family would come by to visit. You always had a place to sit and chat with him.

Tom's family meant everything to him. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Geraldine Murphy; and his sister Pat (Ron) Overman and sister-in-law Jody Murphy. He is survived by his wife Gail; his two sisters Gerry (Skip) Thompson, Margaret and (Dave) Krow, his two brothers Jim Murphy and Roger (Shelly) Murphy; his children Kim and (Mark) Volmer, Jeff and (Shelly) Murphy, Doug Murphy and Susan and (Steve) Skinner as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
