ROSLYN “Peg” FRANCES SINGER
Born in Harrisburg, PA, Peg passed away December 12, 2024 at 87 in Tucson, AZ.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Donald Eugene Singer. After Don’s passing, Peg was blessed to meet John Witkowski through their church and enjoyed a companionship until his death in 2020.
She is survived by cousin Ronald L. Shade of Myerstown, PA, and the “Keneston kids” – her neighbors in the 1980s, life-long friends and chosen family: Darla, SaRena and Matthew of Tucson, and Lizzie Hoppe of Merrifield, MN.
Peg was a faithful member of Our Mother of Sorrows Parish where she volunteered at the annual OMOS Fiesta and in the parish office. Peg retired as a legal secretary in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in 1997. She was an avid reader, awesome Scrabble player, loved Elvis, and enjoyed traveling during her time with Don in the U.S. Air Force and later cruising the world via Holland America. She and her friends called themselves the ”Go-Go Girls” because they were always on the go – to the casino, the movies, and out to lunch.
MEMORIAL MASS: 11am, Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Our Mother of Sorrows, 1800 S. Kolb Rd., Tucson. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers to the parish, DONATIONS can be made in her name to Alzheimer’s Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871 or online: brightfocus.org/cureAD.
