John O. Becker
March 14th, 1938 - December 15th, 2024
JOHN O. BECKER passed away on December 15, 2024 at the age of 86.
John was born on March 14, 1938 in Bangor, Wisconsin, the son of Walter and Velma (Summerfield) Becker. He was the beloved husband of Marylyn (Motor) Becker.
John was a Seabee in the United States Navy where he build an air base in Barbados and was involved in the Bay of Pigs invasion April 17, 1961 – April 20, 1961. Following his discharge, he was employed with Lunde Construction where he worked until his retirement in 1993.
John loved talking about the Navy, hunting, shooting trap, being outside and spending time with family and friends. John was quite the Jokester with a great sense of humor.
John is survived by his wife, Marylyn Becker; children Scott (Dutch) Becker (Barb Becker) and Brenda (Jeff) Meng; grandchildren John (Mariah) Seekamp, Candra (Matt) Seekamp, Michael (Megan) Becker, Jacob (Lily) Meng and Dani (Josh) Meng; brother Bernard Becker; sister-in-law Esther Becker; brother-in-law Larry (Carolyn) Grisen and other relatives, nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Velma Becker; brothers Vernon and Donald Becker; sister Elaine Verkin; daughter Theresa Seekamp and grandson Jesse Becker.
A Celebration of Life will be held for John in the summer.
