Ronald L McIntosh (Bud) of Seattle, Washington passed away peacefully December 16, 2024.  He was 99 years old. Ron was born in Seattle, Washington on July 9, 1925, to Lawrence and Barbara McIntosh.  He grew up in Ballard and graduated from Ballard High School in 1943.  He immediately entered the Navy and served in World War II and the Korean War.  He received an honorable discharge from the military in 1966.

Ron and Mary Bland were married in 1946 and had three daughters:  Susan (deceased), Saundra Smidt (Tom) and Cheryl Stratton.

After his active duty service he earned a United States Coast Guard Masters License.  His career path then led him to Foss Launch and Tug Company where he worked in many different aspects of the business until his retirement in 1986.

He was an active member of St. John United Lutheran Church.  He served as president of United Cerebral Palsy of King County and participated in the local Society of Port Engineers. 

He is survived by daughters Saundra and Cheryl, grandchildren Candice, Erik, Matthew, Shaun and Amanda and eleven great-grandchildren.
