Kenneth “Kenny” LaDelfa, 74, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded

by his family in St. Petersburg, Florida, on December 18, 2024.

Ken was born in New York and raised by Richard and Marilyn LaDelfa. He grew

up in St. Petersburg, FL, graduating from Hollins High School in 1968 before

attending the United States Naval Academy, from which he was honorably

discharged. Ken then graduated from Florida State University in 1974.

Ken built a remarkable career as an award-winning general contractor and the

proud owner of KEL Construction, a business he successfully led for 38 years.

Known for his integrity, expertise, and dedication, Ken left an indelible mark on

the industry and the community he served.

Ken was a man of many passions. He loved snow skiing, creating magical

memories at Disney, and embarking on adventures with his beloved

grandchildren. Above all, he cherished his family and the time they spent

together.

Ken is preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannie LaDelfa; his biological father,

Jerry McNinch and his parents, Richard and Marilyn LaDelfa. He is survived by

his devoted wife of 25 years, Renee Bailey-LaDelfa; his daughter, Sara; his

stepdaughters, Lisa and her husband Mike, and Brandi and her husband Matt;

his siblings, Larry and Rick and his wife Laurie, Kimberlee and her husband

George, Kelley Jo and her wife Donna and Scott and his wife Julia; and his

cherished grandchildren, Bailey, Nathan, Grimm, Dylan, and Ellie, along with

numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ken’s life was a testament to hard work, love, and joy. His adventurous spirit and

deep love for his family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved

him.

A burial service for Ken will be held at Bay Pines Memorial Cemetery on January

10, 2025, at 9 a.m., followed by a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, the family

kindly requests that donations be made in Ken’s name to Suncoast Hospice.

Ken will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and laughter will endure
