Constance "Connie" M. Allard
November 7th, 1933 - December 20th, 2024
Constance Morgan Allard, “Connie”, Age 91, of Arlington and Falls Church, VA died on December 20, 2024. Predeceased by husband Dean (in 2018) and sons Dean C. (in 1959) and Scott Allard (in 2020), and sister Barbara Roberts. Survivors include son Hunt (Diane) and Beth (Bob) Trencheny, daughter-in-law Arlene Bright and sister Pamela Jacobsen. She cherished being a grandmother to Charlie, David (Brooke), Robbie, Katie, and Lauren. She was elated to become great grandmother to Maggie this year (parents David & Brooke).
Born in Kansas City, MO on November 7, 1933, to Bernadine Buck and Howard Key Morgan, she graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago and loved spending time at the family cottage in Woods Hole, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She organized countless family birthday celebrations, ski weekends, and getaways to bring family together.
A force of wisdom and action, Connie was a fantastic hostess for family gatherings and business dinners. She was a vibrant volunteer for decades, supporting The Junior League of Arlington, AAUW, the Service League of Northern Virginia and as an Elections Poll worker for more than 40 years. She was active in her children’s schools, Boy Scout Troop 167, swim team, and more. She traveled extensively with Dean all over the world.
A 15-year resident of Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads, she brought her energy to numerous committees there, and enthusiastically encouraged prospective residents on tours. Among her greatest joys were being at David and Brooke’s wedding and meeting her first great grandchild.
The family extends its sincere appreciation to all of GHBC staff for 15 years of friendship, care, and service, as Dean and Connie journeyed through every level of care.
A private service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to either AAUW or Goodwin House Foundation.
