Felicitas Carrillo Reyes

Felicitas, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Felicitas was born in Ahuacatlan Nayarit, Mexico and came to the U.S. receiving her citizenship in 1971. It was in Tucson where she met her husband Joe Reyes and his two children (Joey and Diane). They were married in 1960 and had 4 more children (Nancy, Anna, Austen and Edward). Felicitas lived her dream, a full and vibrant life, rooted in hard work from an early age providing for her 4 siblings to raising a family of six children. She was an amazing homemaker, always concerned with the well-being of her family. She found joy in simple pleasures of life. Cooking delicious Mexican food not only for family but friends, sewing, decorating her home, hosting a party for birthdays and potlucks. Reaching out in the workforce, she volunteered at church, school Library, was a Girl Scout Leader, employed with DES took care of toddlers and worked at a Donut shop. Her friendship amongst many people was a loving nature, even to strangers - giving them a meal. She always brightened the room with a smile and sense of humor. Her kindness and laughter lifted those around her. Felicitas was preceded in death by her husband Joe Reyes of 64 years and son Edward Reyes. She is survived by 1 brother (Lupe), 5 children (Nancy, Anna, Austen, Joey and Diane), 8 grandchildren and great grand children. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
