James Ray Dailey
July 9th, 1957 - December 21st, 2024
James Ray Dailey, 67, husband of Jolinda Dailey, passed away on December 21, 2024 in Lexington, Kentucky. James was born in Lexington, Kentucky on July 9, 1957 to the late Charles Ray Dailey and Ethel Mae Wells Dailey. He was a driver with Quest Diagnostic for many years. James will be remembered for his unwavering strength and perseverance; he was a fighter till the end. He had a hobby for CB radios, using the handle "Mr. Magoo." James had many great friends and was known to be a true Chevy man, but above all adored his grandchildren and loved his family deeply.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, Jolinda, he is survived by his children, Perry (Melissa) Dailey and Melissa (Travis) Brock; grandchildren, Justin Dailey, Makenzie Dailey, Conner Dailey, Tyler Clark, Dalton (Kathelina Rainey) Brock, and Danielle Brock; siblings, Wanda Graham and Kenny Dailey; a very special uncle David (Frances) Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, William "Bill Bill" Dailey and Alan Dailey.
A celebration of life gathering will be held for James on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 2-5pm at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville.
