The morning of Saturday, December 14, 2024 Vivian Caroline Garcia passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. She was 73 years old.
Vivian was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 20, 1951. She was the oldest of 8 siblings. She graduated from Valley High School in 1968. She married her high school sweetheart James Garcia in 1977. This year the celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. She had two children, James jr. (1980) and Valarie (1985). She was a devoted wife and devoted loving mother. She was the glue that held our family together. Dedicated employee of Lowes Supermarket for close to 20 years, she became a familiar face to the many friends she made while working there. She enjoyed and looked forward to trips to Las Vegas, Nevada with her son and daughter.
She is survived by her husband James P. Garcia, their two children James Paul and Valarie Ann, two grandchildren Deja Lynn and Julian James, her parents Graciel and Gilbert Armijo, and siblings Bill Sena, Edward Sena, Alfred Armijo, Gilbert Armijo and Juanita Dunn. She is proceeded in death by her brothers Fermin Sena and Albert Armijo.
Vivian's presence is deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy of love and compassion. Services to be held at Riverside Funeral Home (225 San Mateo NE, Albuquerque, NM) on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 11:30am. Following her services she will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary cemetery located at 1900 Edith NE in Albuquerque. Paul bears are Edward Sena, Bill Sena, Gilbert Armijo, Jim Dunn, Rafael Camposano and Milton Schwab.
