Kara O'Connor

Kara A. O'Connor, 50, of Brighton CO unexpectedly passed away on Friday May 15th, 2020 in her home. She was born on October 31, 1969, the youngest of 4 siblings, to James and Barbara (DiPilla) O'Connor in Wheat Ridge, CO. She grew up in Arvada and graduated from Arvada West High School. She was employed by Machol and Johannes as a Legal Assistant. Kara was one of a kind. She loved and cared for everyone she came in contact with. She always went above and beyond to help others and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She loved the Broncos, Rockies, Nuggets and was a huge country music fan. She was a big animal lover and always owned at least one dog. She was a mother figure to many, but most of all to her daughter Schylar, who was her pride and joy. Kara was preceded in death by her Father James O'Connor. She is survived by her husband Ken Rains, her mother Barbara O'Connor, her daughter Schylar O'Connor, her brothers Jim (Sharon) O'Connor, Larry (Dawn) O'Connor, her sister Gina Miller, nephews Seamus O'Connor, Matthew Miller, Kyle O'Connor, nieces Meghan (Mac) MacKillop, Lauren Miller, Abby O'Connor, grandnephews Zachary Lamica, Declan MacKillop and numerous extended family members. We all loved her very much and will greatly miss her. Services will be held at a later date.
