Seth McGovern Kline
June 23rd, 1977 - December 18th, 2024
Seth McGovern Kline, 47, died unexpectedly at home on December 18, 2024.
Seth was born on June 23rd, 1977 in Loveland, CO to Bill and Janice Kline. After the passing of his biological mother, he was adopted by Deborah Kline. Seth attended Immanuel Lutheran School for kindergarten and first grade. He also attended local Loveland elementary and junior high schools. The family moved to Stratham, NH in 1990 for two years. In 1993, the family returned to Loveland and Seth graduated from Thompson Valley High School in 1995. He also coached baseball and mentored kids in difficult circumstances. Seth was an avid golfer, a steadfast friend, and loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Seth met Jesus in Sunday School as a 3 year-old and by age 4 he would tell you Jesus lived in his heart. At age 14, he volunteered to help in the 4 and 5 year old Sunday School class and eventually became a teacher. He served in this ministry for 20 years. As “Teacher Seth” he was loved by his students and many kept in touch with him as they grew up.
He is survived by his father, Bill Kline, and his adoptive mother, Debby Kline, Windsor; his siblings Kellie (Michael) Ady, Denver; Noah (Lesondra) Kline, Littleton; and Christopher Kline, Windsor, along with aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Wayne and Jackie Kline, his uncle David Kline, maternal grandparents, Gene and Nancy McGovern, and his biological mother, Janice (McGovern) Kline.
Seth will be remembered and celebrated by those who knew and loved him for his devotion to family, his passion for golf, his sense of humor, and his ability to light up a room with his smile and laugh. For his nieces and nephews, he’ll be remembered as the greatest uncle of all time.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM on January 06, 2025, at City Lights Church, 7251 W 4th Street, Greeley 80634. A reception will follow at the church. Pastor Rick Hood will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Thompson Valley HS Athletic Department, R2J School District, in Seth’s name.
