Mary Lou (Covich) LaSalle

Mary Lou LaSalle passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, in Olympia, Washington. Born on November 1, 1940, in Seattle, Washington, Mary Lou dedicated her life to her family and faith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leon LaSalle, to whom she was married for 50 years.
She is also preceded by her parents, Mary and Francis Covich. She is survived by her sisters, Betsy Jennings and Patricia Covich, and her beloved daughters, Christy LaSalle, Dawn Dauer, and Amy Rady. Her memory will also be cherished by her three grandchildren.
Mary Lou was a proud alumna of Queen Anne High School, graduating in the class of 1959. Her journey through life took her to Fairbanks, Alaska, from 1972 to 1974, and subsequently to North Pole, Alaska, where she lived from 1974 to 2022. During her time in the North, Mary Lou was an active member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Upon moving to Lacey, Washington, in 2022, she continued her spiritual journey as a part of Sacred Heart Catholic Church until her passing.
A memorial service to honor Mary Lou’s life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacey WA, on January 10, 2025 at 11am. A reception will immediately follow at Hallen Hall. Her family invites all who knew her to join in celebrating her life, offering a chance to share memories and honor her enduring legacy.
Her spirit will remain in the hearts of all she touched, reminding us of the grace and strength she carried throughout her life, and the faith she cherished deeply.
May Mary Lou LaSalle rest in eternal peace, her life a testament to love, faith, and family.
