Oralia “Lollie” Cruz January 7, 1947 - December 26, 2024 

 

Oralia Cruz, 77, was born in San Antonio, Texas and more recently had resided in Tampa. She is survived by her husband, Josue Cruz, Jr., and three daughters and their families: Raquel (Justin) Pullaro, Beckham, Owen, Andrew, and Nash; Ysabel (Marshall) Taylor, Sutton, Will, and Raquel; and Ester (Jason) Kurecki, Jakson, Lilliana, Raina, and Evalina. In addition, Lollie is survived by her sisters Yolanda Cobos and Irma Gonzales as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Inez and Alberto Fuentes and brother Saulo. Lollie enjoyed an active and fulfilling life as a mom and grandmother, volunteer, a traveler. She was an accomplished and highly skilled seamstress and tailor who designed and produced many formal pieces of attire for weddings, baptismal, and similar events. Mostly, Lollie was at her best when such creativity involved her husband and other family members. In her spare time she tutored migrant children and provided support to their families. In the fifty-five years of marriage to her husband, Lollie occasion to visit twenty different countries and spent extended periods of time in t Middle East. Special and truly exciting to her were all the family gatherings and reunions and the opportunity to renew and express her love and care for others. Lollie was a member of Bayshore Baptist Church. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7 (her 78th birthday) at Bayshore Baptist Church in Tampa. A dessert reception will follow.
