Eula Faye Fletcher
1935 - 2024
"Give everyone a chance to have a piece of the pie. If the pie's not big enough, make a bigger pie." Dave Thomas
Eula Faye Kinkead Fletcher, age 89 of Church Hill, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, and she was reunited with her husband, on Friday, December 27, 2024. Eula was born on May 24, 1935, in Ft. Blackmore, VA to Lonnie and Nora Kinkead. On September 5, 1953, Eula married her most cherished friend, James Isaac Fletcher, and after 49 years of a beautiful life together, he preceded her in death.
Eula loved her family; but her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She faithfully attended Lebanon United Methodist Church for 57 years and her butterscotch pies were always a favorite.
Eula was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, James Isaac Fletcher; and several brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Terry Fletcher and wife Ramona, James Fletcher and wife Michelle, and Steven Fletcher and wife Rhonda; grandchildren, Ami Williams and husband Terry, Wesley Fletcher and wife Megan, Amanda Christian and husband Ben, Sarah Collins and husband Aaron, Nathan Fletcher, and Victoria Fletcher; great grandchildren, Kyler Christian, Bentley Christian, Cora Collins, Kemp Collins, Adalyn Fletcher, Maggie Collins, Cayden Fletcher, Abram Collins, and Amelia Fletcher; one brother, Jerald Kinkead and wife Judy; many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Scott County Funeral Home Weber City from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm with Wesley Fletcher providing the eulogy. Special music will be provided by Jim Larkin (piano), Wesley and Megan Fletcher and Sarah Collins. A graveside will follow at McNew Cemetery in Duffield, VA. Steven Fletcher, Terry Fletcher, James Fletcher, Terry Williams, Aaron Collins, and Wesley Fletcher will be serving as pallbearers. Ben Christian, Kyler Christian, Bentley Christian, Nathan Fletcher, Kemp Collins, Abram Collins, and Cayden Fletcher will serve as honorary pallbearers.
