Wilhelmina "Joyce" Arnold
February 4th, 1933 - December 30th, 2024
Wilhelmina Joyce Sneed Arnold, 91, of Warner Robins, GA died on December 30, 2024 in Watkinsville, GA where she resided with her daughter, Kelly for the past two years. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 2 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Immediately following at 3 PM a graveside service will take place at Parkway Memorial Gardens.
She was born in Swainsboro, GA on February 4, 1933 to the late Archibald G. Sneed and Falescia E. Cremean of Macon, GA. She grew up in the area of Forsyth and Juliette, GA. Her maternal grandmother had a farm in Juliette and she often told stories of her adventures on the farm. She had a passion for animals and loved and cared for many during her life. She was very creative. She took art classes late in her life and enjoyed painting very much. She also loved to write and tell stories. Oh, the stories! She was also an avid reader.
In 1989, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Arnold. She always said he was the love of her life and one day they would be together again. They married February 14, 1970. They shared one child together. On November 5, 1949 she married Julius McCrary, a US Marine. They shared six children together and remained friends until his death in 1972.
She is survived by her seven children, Brenda Crawford, Cheryl Brundle (Andrew), Steven McCrary (Darlene), Kelly Sandefur (William), Randy McCrary, Ronald McCrary (Charlene) and Jack Devin Arnold (Gwen), 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and her favorite and only sibling, Charles Sneed. Her family loved her immensely and she will be greatly missed.
