Betty (Katherine) Kathy Dickey, 68, wife of James Dickey 9th grade sweethearts passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, in Lexington, KY. She was born on July 3, 1956, in Hamilton, OH to the late Colliver Burton and Lou Dishon. Kathy’s Love for her family and friends was deep and wide. She showed them all being an example of what LOVE looks like.... It’s a verb which requires ACTION!!!
She is survived by her husband James Dickey; one son, James “JD” Dickey, Lexington, KY; two sisters, Sheila (Ronnie) Young and Lynn (Curtis) Carter; one brother, Charles “Jeep” Burton; sister-in-law, Ruthanne Burton and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Matina Jenkins and Joyce Burton; one brother, Gilbert “Judge” Burton. A Celebration of service will be 11am Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Clark Legacy Center – Brannon Crossing followed by a gathering of family and friends until 1pm.
