Sheila Mae Johnson, 74, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 5, 1950, in Winchester, TN, Sheila dedicated her life to creating a loving and nurturing home for her husband of 57 years, Kenneth, and their three children. Guided by her unwavering faith, Sheila's deep love for her family and her commitment to nurturing them with care and devotion shaped the foundation of their lives.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Sheila’s warmth, kindness, and infectious humor brought joy to all who knew her. Even in the toughest times, her laughter remains a gift her family will always carry with them. Sheila was the heart and soul of her family, and she will be dearly missed.
Sheila is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth; their children, Angela Pate (Kris), Kenneth Johnson Jr. (Gayle), and Stacey Sears; four grandchildren, Sydney, Sebastian, Riley, and Jackson; and one great-grandchild, Theodore.
A service to honor Sheila’s life will be held at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a viewing from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The family will then hold a private burial on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
