Jennifer Marshburn “Jenny” Alford, 56, of Kernersville, NC passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024.

 

A native of Kernersville, NC, Jenny was the wife of Rodney Gray Alford and the daughter of James M. Marshburn and the late Joyce Ferrell Berwick. Jenny was a hairdresser at Gateway Place Apartments for more than 20 years. She enjoyed her time with her clients who loved her dearly and will be missed by all that knew her.

 

Survivors include her husband, Rodney; daughter, Brooke Alford; brothers, Jeff Marshburn and wife, Abby, and Jim Berwick, Jr. and wife, Barbara; sister, Jean Armstrong and husband, Danny; step-father, Jim Berwick; brother-in-law, Tony Alford and wife, Chris; sister-in-law, Bridget Hutchins; father-in-law, Ronald "Ron" Alford; mother-in-law, Carol Alford; niece, Elizabeth Armstrong; and nephews, Kevin Marshburn, Zachary Ratliff, Luke Armstrong, William Berwick, Matthew Berwick, Luke Alford, Dr. Chad Alford, Caleb Hutchins, and Colton Fann.

 

In addition to her mother, Jenny was preceded in death by a nephew, Jimmy Hicks. 

 

Funeral services celebrating Jenny’s life will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Triad Baptist Church with Pastor Rob Decker and Steve Woodall officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery, Kernersville, NC. The family will greet friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM on Saturday prior to the service at the church.
