James Clinton King, a strong, dependable, and charismatic man, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on February 22, 1936, in Kalispell, Montana, James was the embodiment of hard work, dedication, and a fierce love for his family.

In 1960, James joined the United States Air Force, where he served with pride and assertiveness for eight years. After his military service James spent the rest of his working years at a steel foundry. His military service shaped his character—he was a man who never backed down from a challenge, who believed in doing things the right way, and who always stood up for what he believed in.

James’s numerous talents and wide-ranging interests earned him the reputation of a "jack of all trades, master of none". Whether he was woodworking in his workshop, fixing things around the house, or traveling to explore new places, James brought a hands-on approach to everything he did, but it was his family that remained his greatest achievement.

He was a loving grandfather whose strength and warmth left a lasting impact on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Though he could be tough, when necessary, his love for his family was immeasurable, and he was always there for them with a steady hand and a caring heart.

James was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Alice and his son Jim. He is survived by his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his spirit of resilience, determination, and love.

He leaves behind a legacy of strength, humor, and wisdom that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
