James "Jim" Sanford Sherman

Mr. James Sanford “Jim” Sherman, age 65, a resident of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Winter Haven Hospital with his family at his side. Mr. Sherman was born April 4, 1959, in Lakeland, Florida to David Carlton and Barbara Ann (Krell) Sherman. He was a lifetime Polk County resident and graduated from Lake Wales Christian School. Jim was a Customer Service Supervisor in the Bowling Industry (worked at Cypress Lanes & Winterdale Lanes) both in Winter Haven. He was a member of multiple bowling associations and loved to bowl. He enjoyed watching golf, football, collecting guns, taking his grandchildren to the park and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his paternal & maternal grandparents. Jim is survived by his loving family, wife of 35 years – Sharon Sherman of Winter Haven, Florida; son – James Keith Sherman of Anderson, South Carolina; 2 daughters – Britni Renea (Stephen) Arnold of Charlotte, North Carolina & Natalie Anne Sherman of Winter Haven, Florida; parents – David & Barbara Sherman of Winter Haven, Florida; 4 brothers – David Alan (Shari) Sherman of Winter Haven, Florida, Robert C. (Salby) Sherman of Sherman, Texas, Steve (Michele) Sherman of Lakeland, Florida & Brian T. Sherman of Winter Haven, Florida; 5 grandchildren who know Jim as “PAPA” are – Phen, Nolan, Tommy, Chloe & Shiloh. Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday, January 4th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
