Ann Marie Grimes, 86, a previous resident of Idaho Falls, Idaho died December 30, 2024, in Winnsboro, South Carolina. She was born in Bozeman, Montana to Eugene Noyes and Rachel (Hoff) Noyes. She grew up in Montana and New Mexico and attended Highland High School in Albuquerque. She graduated from the University of Albuquerque.

She married in 1957 and lived in California for 17 years where she had four children. She was later divorced. She moved to Idaho Falls in 1976 where Ann served as President to both the Idaho Falls Parents Without Partners (PWP) Chapter, and The State of Idaho PWP organization. Ann worked for 22 years at the Idaho National Laboratory and retired in 2004.

Survivors include her brother John Noyes, three of her children; John Grimes, Dori Grimes, and Terri McClung, as well as four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Fay Kathleen Matheny, and her son, Kyle Bradley Grimes.

Ann was a dedicated mother and cherished friend. She enjoyed reading, bowling and traveling to visit with friends and family. She was a hardworking, single mother who overcame many challenges and was always loyal to her family and friends.

Ann's life was centered around the lifelong friends and family she loved so much. The family asks that you do the same - go and call a friend, make plans to visit with family and share joy and love with those closest to you.

At her request, Ann will be cremated, and no formal service will be held. Her ashes will be spread in a beautiful spot near the Gallatin River in Montana which always brought her peace. She loved the idea of returning to a place that held so many great memories of her parents, siblings, that wonderful bunch of cousins and lifelong friends she cherished and talked about so much..
