Robert "Bob" Lewis Newton

Robert (Bob) Lewis Newton, 84, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away November, 2024.

The Celebration of Life service will be held in the fellowship hall of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 5612 S Hickory St, Littleton, CO 80120, on January 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

Bob was born in Pueblo, CO in 1940 where he grew up on the family’s ranch. After attending two years of community college in Pueblo, Bob transferred to Boulder where he met his bride to be, Elizabeth (Beth) Olson, and earned a degree in accounting. Soon after graduating and getting married, Bob passed the CPA exam. Bob and Beth were married for over 62 years upon his passing.

Throughout his career, Bob worked as an accountant for several companies until he and Beth started their own business in multi-family real estate. He had a passion for jogging, hiking, mountain biking, and was an amateur mineralogist with an impressive collection of beautiful rocks from across the globe. Bob loved to give back to the community with service in the JC’s (Junior Chamber), University Hills Rotary Club, the Methodist Church, where he loved to teach Sunday School, and volunteered as a docent at the Colorado Natural History Museum.

Bob is survived by his wife, Beth, his daughter, Betty Mills and son, Frank Newton, along with their respective spouses, Andrew Mills and Beverly Maison; four grandchildren: Benjamin Mills, along with his wife Cecilia Mills, Jacob Mills, Spencer Newton, and Harrison Newton; one great granddaughter Joanna, born to Benjamin and Cecilia Mills in 2023.

Bob is preceded in death by father Robert I. Newton, mother, Gertrude Louise Newton, and sister, Alice Jean Campbell.
