Frances "Fran" Marie Slezak
May 28th, 1953 - December 27th, 2024
Frances (Fran) Marie Slezak, 71, widow of David Slezak, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024. She was born in Chicago, IL on May 28, 1953 to the late James Frank Young and Marie Pietrzyk Young. Fran was a retired bus driver for Franklin County Public Schools and a member of The Journey Church on Leestown. Her warmth and kindness touched countless lives—whether through her students, the children on her bus, or the fellow worshippers and community members she encouraged with her radiant smile and unwavering support. Fran’s life was a testament to her deep love for the Lord. She inspired those around her with her faith, her compassion, and her tireless devotion to uplifting others. A natural encourager, Fran brought light and hope wherever she went, devoting her time and resources to help those on their own journeys of life and faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne (Tim) Turner; her son, Matthew Stewart; her Godson, William McGregor; her sister, Carol Zervic; nephew, Chris (Jennifer) Conway; niece, Lori (Dan) Schulz; and her grandchildren, Summer Napier and Cameron Jones.
Celebration of Fran’s Life will be held at The Journey Church on Leestown on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 4:00pm.
