Maie Frances Griner
October 31st, 1953 - January 1st, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maie Frances Griner, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on January 1, 2025. In accordance with her family's wishes, all services will be private. Maie touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.
Born on October 31, 1953, in Jacksonville, Florida, Maie was a beacon of warmth and kindness to everyone she met. Maie pursued an education in bookkeeping at Central Georgia Technical College, a path that perfectly matched her meticulous nature and attention to detail. This forte led her to a fulfilling career at Wells Fargo, where she served as a Senior Accounting Analyst, a role in which she was greatly admired by her colleagues. Her career was marked by integrity and dedication until her well-earned retirement.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Maie will fondly remember her kind and considerate spirit. Her genuine nature and compassion were evident in the way she cherished her family and found joy in the companionship of her beloved pets.
Maie leaves behind her devoted husband, William E. Griner, who cherished their 53 years together, and her siblings, Lemuel and Joe Waldron and Anita Gruber, who shared in the laughter and memories of their journeys together. She was the proud mother of Travis Griner, accompanied by his wife Elis, and Troy Griner, both of whom were the pride of her life. Her legacy continues through her grandsons: Dylin and Liam Griner, and grandchildren: Gwen, Christian, and Skylyn Bilen, each carrying forward the light she brought into their lives.
Those wishing to express their condolences are invited to keep Maie's family in their thoughts and prayers during this time of remembrance. Her life was a testament to the love and care she bestowed on those around her, and she will reside in our hearts forever.
