Francisco "Frank" Juan Garcia
May 29th, 1945 - November 23rd, 2024
Major Francisco "Frank" Juan Garcia was born in Aiea Hawaii on May 29th,1945. He was one of nine children born to Raymond and Felicita Garcia. Frank is survived by his children Richard, Angela, Christopher and his wife, Diedre. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kai-Ulani, Roman, and Sigourney.
While in the military Frank did a tour in Vietnam as a chinook helicopter pilot. His other deployments were Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington State, Las Vegas, Japan, and Florida. Frank served 20 years in the military, after which he retired to Satellite Beach Florida. After retirement he taught ROTC at Cocoa High School for 10 years before retiring again. Some of Frank's hobbies were playing the ukulele and singing Hawaiian songs, playing black jack, cooking (fried rice, ribs, teriyaki), and keeping up with politics.
He was a devoted soldier, a loving husband, and a proud father and grandfather. His unwavering commitment to his country was matched only by the love he poured into his family. Known for his strength, integrity, and compassion, he balanced the demands of military service with the joys of fatherhood and partnership. Francisco embodied courage and kindness. He was deeply loved by his family, cherished by his friends, and respected by his comrades. His legacy of honor, love, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We will miss him forever. RIP dad, we love you.
