Connie Bond, age 75 passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024, in Hospice care at Common Spirit Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs.

Connie was raised on a family farm near Windsor, Colorado where she graduated from Windsor High School in 1967. She attended Junior College in Sterling and then she worked at State Farm Insurance for 42 years. She married Alan Bond in 1979 and they moved to Colorado Springs in 1984. They joined Holy Cross Lutheran Church at that time and have been members for 40 years now.

Her love for Jesus has been a cornerstone in her life and she has touched many lives with that love that flowed through and out of her. She had deep friendships with her co-workers, Bible Study Fellowship people, Harley riders, her home church family and all her relations by blood or by marriage. She was active in many bible study groups and multiple retreats sharing her faith and her joy in Jesus. Fellowship and food were tools that Connie used to create and strengthen her hundreds of relationships with people from all walks of life.

She was an avid gardener, especially loving to grow flowers and captured many photographs of those as well as nature scenes from her many trips to the Colorado Mountains. She also loved to travel and take photos of other parts of the world and make new friends internationally.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

She leaves behind her husband of over 45 years, five children plus two in-laws, three siblings and their 12 nieces and nephews. She also claims two granddaughters and five great grandchildren.

Ephesians 2:8-9 English Standard Version

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Philippians 3:20-21 English Standard Version

20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
