Jennifer Tracy Owens

Jennifer Tracy Owens, age 58, entered into rest Saturday, December 28th at Lowcountry Community Hospice House. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Charles Jackson Owens and the late Julia Naomi (Haulbrook) Owens. Tracy is survived by her husband, Travoir Vincent; 2 daughters, Chanelle (George) Tallmage of Ridgeland, SC, and Sarah (Kevin) Cornett of Summerville, SC; 8 grandchildren Peyton Tallmage, Julianna Tallmage, Alex Tallmage, Connor Tallmage, Timothy Cornett, Chase Cornett, Zachary Cornett, and Skyler Cornett; 1 sister Julia Leopard of Clemson, SC; 2 brothers Charles Owens Jr of Charlotte, NC and Jeff (Kim) Owens of Shelbyville, IN. In addition to her parents, Tracy was predeceased by one sister, Jackie Sharpe; two brother in laws Danny  Sharpe and Lee Leopard; as well as one grandson, Gabriel Tallmage.Tracy was a true island girl and lived on Hilton Head Island for the majority of her adult life. Tracy’s love for the island included spending a lot of time at Mitchellville Beach and sparking up conversations with both locals and tourists, all of whom were strangers but most left as great friends. Her first career on the island was as a cabaret singer and even through the years, she always went back to her dream of making singing her career, with the latest being at Rollers Wine & Spirits in the evenings. Through the years she worked as an office manager for many HVAC companies, including Golden Triangle HVAC. Tracy’s love of food gave her the opportunity to participate in many food festivals, catering jobs, and food competitions, and eventually led her to open Pure Natural Market on Hilton Head in 2018, where she enjoyed doing what she loved best, feeding people and getting to meet new friends. When Tracy was not feeding people, or having lengthy conversations with family and friends, she could be found taking beautiful pictures from her balcony and around the island that she loved so dear.A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the home of her daughter Chanelle Tallmage. A second celebration of life will be held on Hilton Head Island on Tuesday, January 28th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Rollers Wine & Spirits located at 9 Palmetto Bay Rd.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in honor of Tracy Owens to The Bargain Box located in Hilton Head, SC or Ridgeland Baptist Church located in Ridgeland, SC.
