Myrna Kay Pappin (89) beloved wife, mother, grandma (GG), sister & daughter was received into her Heavenly Father’s loving arms on December 29, 2024. She passed away peacefully at her home in Oro Valley, Arizona, surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her loving & devoted husband Alton Richard (Al) Parker, seven adoring children, Cyndie (Terry) Peterson, Steven Belknap, Kelli Bloom, Chris (Sharon) Belknap, Sherri Bailes, Kevin (Aimee) Belknap, Leslie (Kevin) Boudreau, and step-daughter, Cindy Parker. She is survived by a nephew Justin (Caitlin) Peck and niece Deanna (Mike) Huerta. She is also survived by twenty-nine cherished grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Winifred Ione Peck, siblings Celia and David Peck, and her husband, Michael Belknap.
Myrna Kay Peck was born in Lansing, Michigan on February 28, 1935. She attended Lansing Eastern High School where she graduated in 1953.
Although she worked several jobs in her life including real estate, nurse’s assistant, and dietician, her primary job was always one of a homemaker. Her dinner tables held lavish feasts and were adorned with placemats, linen napkins, and season appropriate décor. She constantly supported her large family with phone calls, cards, her quick wit, and her unique sense of humor.
Myrna had a deep faith in Jesus Christ. She loved to listen to gospel music. She also loved to dance. She made it a point to always look her best, her nail meticulously manicured, her toes pedicured, her lipstick on. She and Al loved to go to the casino and win prizes to give to their family at their massive Christmas parties.
She and Al were each other’s first kisses. Though their paths diverged for sixty years, when they met again, the bond was instant. His devotion to her and her care has been remarkable and unmatched.
Our many cherished memories together will be held close to comfort us through our loss. We rejoice in the knowledge that through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we will be reunited with her one day.
A memorial service will be held in Arizona on March 1, 2025.
