Janet Louise Ruckdeschel
March 15th, 1937 - December 21st, 2024
Dear Lord, we pray for our mother who is now in heaven. We pray for You to protect her, keep her in Your loving arms and allow her to have the eternal rest that she always deserved. Please keep her in Your loving Grace until we meet again. Amen.
Ruckdeschel, Janet Louise 87, passed in peace on Saturday, December 21, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert Potter and Helen Hall; and siblings, Darwin and Ann. Janet leaves behind brothers Robert and Pete; sons, Michael Ruckdeschel and Martin Ruckdeschel; daughters, Teresa Brunton and Tammi Risk; grandchildren, Amber Ruckdeschel, Ashley Pedone, Blaine Brunton, Connor Brunton, Christopher Ruckdeschel, Wesley Brock and Sara Risk; and great-grandchildren, London Pedone, Elliot Brunton and Zane Brunton. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
Janet was born in Battle Creek, Michigan and relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida as a young woman. She married her former husband, Hugh Ruckdeschel and had 4 children. Janet was always active with children and with the Scouts where she held troops in Boy Scouts and Brownies. She loved music and singing and drawing. She also earned her CNA and enjoyed working with and caring for the elderly.
Janet’s sweet and loving personality and her compassion for others made her adored by all who crossed her path. She always had a joke, a giggle and a smile for everyone. She will be deeply missed and always remembered and treasured.
An intimate ceremony for Janet will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street N., St. Petersburg, FL 33704 from 5-6 pm.
