It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teri Slovek, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, at the age of 70.
In June 2024, Teri was diagnosed with cancer. She fought a courageous battle, demonstrating remarkable strength and resilience throughout her illness.
Teri was married to her best friend Mike for 42 years. They were an inseparable team and a perfect complement to each other. Teri is also survived by her two children: Cyrus Slovek and Joslyn Shoop. Her wonderful sister, Lori Stenberg. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Ava, Vaughn, Nora, Sterling and Beau, all of whom were a great source of joy in her life. She lived a full and meaningful life, dedicated to her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and joy that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
A private service to honor Teri’s life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to The City of Hope in Teri’s memory.
