Brian Fredrick Block passed away on the evening of December 19, 2024.
He was born on April 20,1971, in Longmont, Colorado, to Harold and Marilyn Block of Hygiene CO.
He grew up with his brother, Eric, and attended Hygiene Elementary School. The boys were fortunate to live in Hygiene during their younger years, where they had space to enjoy outdoor fun with their friends; they especially enjoyed riding their ATVs around their home and on many camping trips in the mountains. Brian moved on to Longs Peak Middle School and then to Longmont High School where he graduated in 1989. He was very artistic and some of his artwork was displayed at school art events.
There were many family trips; Disneyland, Yellowstone, Glacier National Park; as well as the 1986 World Fair in Vancouver, B.C.
Brian married Lucinda Brown in November,1989. They became parents to Michael
and Kenan. Brian was employed for 22 years at Valley Lab (Covidian), maintaining production machine operations. He eventually attended Front Range Community College in Ft. Collins, completing the Welding program and went on to purchase his own welding equipment. He enjoyed gifting friends and family with interesting creations.
In 2011, Brian and his family dealt with the death of their youngest son, Kenan. It was a very difficult time for them and affected their lives in many ways. Brian was very proud of his son, Michael, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and later graduated from CSU in Ft. Collins. Brian was preceded in death by his son, Kenan and his father, Harold Block. He is survived by his son, Michael, mother, Marilyn Block, brother, Eric Block, and uncles, Steve Smith, Mark Smith and Robert Smith.
Brian's service will be held at the Hygiene Methodist Church, at 10:30 a.m. on January 31, 2025, with burial following at the Hygiene Cemetery at 12:00 pm.
