In Loving Memory
Scott Eric Langford, age 44, passed away on January 3, 2025. Born on September 8, 1980, in Vandalia, Ohio, he was the beloved son of Deborah Ingram Langford and the late Charles Edward Langford.
Scott was the devoted husband of Amy George Langford, with whom he shared nearly 18 wonderful years of marriage. He was the proud and loving father of Alex, Abbie, and Olivia Langford, whose lives he touched deeply with his guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. Watching his kids play lacrosse, football, dance, cheer and run track brought him endless joy.
Scott is also survived by his cherished brother, Matt Langford (Jennifer); his in-laws, John and Marie (Carnevale) George; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Angie and Dan Arengo, and Anissa and Richard Cundall. He was a beloved, adventurous uncle to his nieces and nephews: Thomas, Benjamin, and Daniel Langford; Mary, Annie, and Sophie Arengo; and Elizabeth, Quinn, and Caitlyn Cundall. Scott was also the devoted “dog dad” to Brutus and Eddie.
A graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in pharmaceutical sciences, Scott's Buckeye spirit was infectious and unwavering. He built a successful career in medical sales. Scott’s passions extended far beyond his work. An avid golfer and skilled woodworker, he thrived on outdoor adventures including fishing and beach trips. He loved fishing and cooking with his family, teaching his kids new things.
Since 2015, Scott and his family have made their home in Kernersville, North Carolina, surrounded by a caring community of friends and neighbors.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Scott Langford Memorial Fund can be made to any 5/3 Bank.
Scott’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
