Margaret Dunn
April 1st, 1925 - December 28th, 2024
Margaret Adell Dunn died on December 28, 2024 at the age of 99 peacefully in her sleep. She retired from the US Department of Health and Human Services in 1980. She served as a Consulting Nurse with the National Cancer Institute as well as a Director at the Clinical Center at the National Institute of Health (NIH). After retiring she moved from Hyattsville, Md to Seminole, FL. Originally after retiring, she lived at Tamarac By the Gulf. In 2003 she moved to Lake Seminole Square where she resided until her death. In her retirement, Dr Dunn taught at the College of Nursing as a Visiting Professor of Nursing at the University of South Florida from 1980 to 1989. She volunteered for Hospice of the Florida Suncoast (now Empath Suncoast Hospice) for 35 years in a variety of positions starting in 1980. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Largo, Fl and served as a Stephen Minister, Leader/Teacher in 1994 for several years. She is survived by 8 nieces and 2 nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews and 31 great great nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church on February 1, 2025 at 11 AM. Internment will be in the National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Virginia.
