Timothy James Werner, who everyone knew as James, left us on December 19th, 2024 at the age of 46, surrounded by friends and family. A beloved son, brother, father and grandfather, James will be remembered for his genius, his fondness for new hobbies, and his mission to make everyone laugh at even the smallest things.
Born on June 6th, 1978, in Tucson AZ, James grew up the youngest son of Timothy L. Werner and Rosanna Tramel-Werner, with his 2 brothers M. Scott Werner and Marcus L. Werner.
Being the youngest of the bunch he spent his younger days trying to do everything his brothers were doing. He was involved in Cub, Boy, and Explorer
Scouts throughout his young life and also enjoyed a good game of baseball. He attended Salpointe Catholic High School where he met many great friends and after graduation he attended the University of Arizona earing a Bachelors in Creative Writing and a minor in English. He worked a few odd jobs before his career days, in restaurants like Little Anthony's, which helped develop his love of cooking. He then moved onto marketing jobs and analyst jobs. Carhartt marketing in Michigan, Tucson Weekly with marketing/design and then from there he went to Simple view as a CRM analyst. Before graduating college, he met Ericka and they spent many years together. They welcomed their 2 children, one of whom gifted him his grandchild. After they split up they remained friends and James went on to live his bachelor lifestyle, hanging out with friends, going to many concerts, big bands and local bands, and enjoying the time he had left. He continued to stay a math and computer genius, growing his skills every day. He also loved to write and would create short stories and poems to share with everyone. He still enjoyed all of the outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, boating and even the occasional hike. He spent a lot of time gardening in an attempt to make himself completely self-sustaining. In addition to his goal of self-sustainability he indulged in soap making, sharing all of his creations with friends and family. But his one true love that will never be forgotten was his love for the almighty Steelers. He was a die hard fan until the end.
James is survived by his son, Finn Werner and daughter Amity Werner as well as his granddaughter Eleanor Shaw, his father Timothy L. Werner, and his sisters and brothers, Michelle (Shelly) Werner Baker, Sheri Werner Hawkins, Marcus Werner, and Scott Werner, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Rosanna Tramel-Werner and his brothers Scott Lee Werner, and Eric Werner.
A service to celebrate James's life will be held on January 9th, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Adair Dodge Funeral home. All are welcome.
"A rose
Too high for me to pluck
So I sit in the grass below
The petals, soft and curred perfectly
A scent of ecstasy
Please wind, carry the branch just a bit further down
It has so much life to give please wind
But it's too sunny of a day and the rose become fuller, even more beautiful I guess I will only admire the rose And hope it falls into gentle hands"
