Brock E. Smith, of Yuba City, CA, passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 88. He was born and raised in Stockton, CA.
After moving to the Yuba-Sutter area, he built and opened Brock's Ice Cream Palace, located on Gray Avenue where it is still in operation and proudly bears his name.
Brock was an active member in this community for many years. He was a charter member of the Peach Bowl Lions Club for over 50 years.
He was also involved in Sons in Retirement, Christian Assistance Network, Restoration Advisory Board, Selective Service and Twin Cities Investment Club.
Brock was thought of by many as an "all around good guy". To his family and friends, he was thoughtful, loveable and extremely generous.
He is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Connie; daughter, Tracy Gregory (Larry); grandson, Jacob Knoles (Sarah); granddaughter, Allison Knoles; and great-granddaughter, Emersynn Knoles.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11 AM, at Hillcrest Catering in the Hillcrest Plaza, 210 Julie Drive, Yuba City, CA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brock's name to Peach Bowl Lions Club, P.O. Box 1086 Yuba City, CA, 95992, or C.A.N. 712 Sutter St. Yuba City, CA, 95991.
