Donald "Don" Robert Fearman

It is with great sadness the family of Donald Robert Fearman of Hilton Head announce Don died peacefully in his home on January 7, 2025.  Don was born on October 11, 1939 in Bayside, New York to Olive LaVigne and Robert Edward Fearman.  He graduated from Bayside High School and attended New York State College for Teachers.  Don served in the Army Reserve and was Honorably Discharged on March 22, 1968.  He was a Claims Adjuster with Lamorte, Burns & Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1997.

Don married Michele on August 27, 1967 in Westbury, New York.  They raised three children, Nanette, Robert and Scott in Uniondale, New York until retiring to Hilton Head Island in 1997.  They enjoyed golf, traveling, their friends and their time in their summer home in Lake Luzerne, New York with their family. 

Don is survived by his wife, Michele; his daughter and son-in-law, Nanette and Matt; his son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Cindy; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Laurie; his grandchildren, Katherine, Joseph, Thomas, Tanner and Carson; his sister and brother, Lois and Bob.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church on January 10th at 10am.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
