Robert "Bob" A Steen, Jr

Robert "Bob" Steen Jr, age 63, of St. Petersburg, passed away on December 29, 2024 with his loving husband Coleman by his side. He was born in Boston, MA, and raised in Bedford, MA. Bob attended Shawsheen Technical High School before graduating from Newberry Junior College.  He then entered the culinary industry, working as a Chef in many restaurants before retirement.    Bob met his future husband, Coleman, at The Red Rooster, a bar in P-Town, and they immediately connected, spending the next 42 years together. They began their lives in Massachusetts before moving to St. Petersburg in 2017. Bob and Coleman loved spending time on our beautiful beaches, including visits to Caddy's on Treasure Island.They enjoyed traveling around the world, visiting Europe, Fiji, Australia, along with many other destinations. Bob and Coleman loved to visit the Caribbean whenever possible. One of their favorite vacations was cruising from Venezuela to Margarita Island to Granada on a schooner, the Mandalay. A favorite shared memory was when they visited Prague and heard an opera singer practicing their craft in the beautiful dusk of Eastern Europe. Bob is survived by his husband, Cole McDonough; father Robert (Patricia) Steen Sr of Prince Edward Island; mother Carol (Steve) Emery of Zillah, Washington; siblings Krista, Lisa, and Jay, as well as nieces, nephews and the many friends he made during his lifetime.Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor and kindness towards anyone lucky enough to cross paths with him.
