It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Devin Kurtis Boysen, who departed this life on December 18, 2024, in Lacey, Washington. Born on March 21, 1988, in Olympia, Washington, Devin's life was a testament to kindness and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
A proud graduate of North Thurston High School, Class of 2006, Devin pursued his passions through careers in construction and culinary arts. Throughout his life, he nurtured a passion for learning, spending a memorable period in Ketchum, Idaho, where he enriched his life experiences. His talents were as diverse as his interests, which included sports, snowboarding, hiking, and art. Known for his beautiful smile and generous spirit, Devin cherished his family and friends above all.
He is survived by his loving parents, Patrick and Kathryn Boysen, his brothers Branden and Cameron, his sister Andrea, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Devin was predeceased by his grandparents, Nick and Irene Boysen, Evanel and Neil Nelson, and his Uncle Larry Boysen.
A service to celebrate Devin's life will be held on January 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Calvary Chapel North Thurston, located at the NW Christian Academy. In honoring Devin’s kindness and love for community, his family requests that donations be made to Sacred Heart Emergency Outreach, St. Michaels Church, Union Gospel Mission, or City Gates Ministries.
Devin’s memory will forever remain in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be touched by his presence.
