Holly Ann Reaver Jay, 72, of Parker, Colorado, passed away at 3:43 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025. She was born on July 18, 1952, in Highland Park, Illinois, the daughter of the late Caryl R. and Lois H. Reaver. Holly grew up in Highland Park, Illinois, and moved to Boulder, Colorado in her twenties. There she met her first husband, Robert Lanyi. They married in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1980, and later relocated to Aurora, Colorado. Robert and Holly were the proud parents of two daughters, Sarah and Rachel. Robert sadly passed away due to complications from diabetes in 1988.

In 1990, Holly moved to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, where she worked as a legal secretary. Four years later, in 1994, she relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she built a career as a medical transcriptionist at Lovelace Medical Center and later as a paralegal for Presbyterian Hospital. She reconnected with her old friend, Robert Jay, and relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they married on December 13, 2007. Holly worked as a paralegal for the Clark County Nevada District Attorney's Office before retiring in 2014. After retirement, she and Bob moved to Parker, Colorado, where she found joy in caring for her two young granddaughters, baking, quilting, serving on her church board, and spending time with family and friends. Holly was a bright and loving presence, cherished by everyone who knew her.

Holly is survived by her husband, Robert Jay, of Parker, Colorado; her daughters, Sarah Lanyi (Don Carroll) of Aurora, Colorado, and Rachel Brooks (Will Brooks) of Centennial, Colorado; her stepson, Robby Jay (Leslie Jay) of Las Vegas, Nevada; her brother, Bill Reaver of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her "Swiss daughter," Claudia Welton; her grandchildren, Lydia Carroll, Gwendolyn Brooks, Hadley Jay, and Ryder Jay; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her cherished canine companions, Abby and Riley. Holly was preceded in death by her brother, Caryl Reaver.

A memorial service to celebrate Holly’s life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the United Church of Christ Parker Hilltop, located at 10926 Democrat Road, Parker, Colorado. Family and friends are invited to attend and share their memories. Holly battled Alzheimer’s disease for the past five years and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
