Billy Joe Purvis, age 46, of Frankfort, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Nortons Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Billy Joe was born in Lexington, Kentucky on May 30, 1978 to the late Thomas Jefferson Purvis and Linda Faye Dobbins (Hockensmith). He was a contractor for his brother, Jeff, all his life at Purvis General Contracting until he became ill. He loved working outdoors.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepdad, Donnie Dobbins; his brother, Jeff Purvis (Kim) and sister Loretta Purvis. He had two children, Michael Purvis and Bradley Purvis, who he thought the world of as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father-Thomas Jefferson Purvis, Brother-Thomas Purvis II, and sister-Tammy Sue Purvis.
Services will be held at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Larry Perkins will officiate the services with burial to follow at Peaks Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday after 11:00 a.m. until time for services at the funeral home.
Serving as casketbearers will be Michael Purvis, Bradley Purvis, Dalton Purvis, Jeffrey Purvis, Jon Patton & Mike Manns
Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
