Evan Scott Zelker

July 6, 1977 – December 21, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evan Scott Zelker, 47, of St. Petersburg, Florida. Born on July 6, 1977, in Plantation, Florida. Evan brought love, resilience, and strength to those fortunate enough to know him. He passed away on December 21, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family.

Evan is survived by his loving wife, Shireen Zelker, his cherished sister, Heather Schoengrund (Mike), and his beloved niece and nephew, Erica and Brandon. His father and mother in law, Ala and Ann. His sister in laws, Yasi and Moji (Kyle). And all his aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Evan was a man of extraordinary strength, resilience, and determination. A true survivor, he faced his first battle with cancer with courage and perseverance, emerging victorious. When faced with a second, more aggressive battle, Evan displayed an unwavering warrior spirit, inspiring all who knew him. His boundless willpower and bravery in the face of adversity will forever remain an example of what it means to live with courage.

Beyond his strength, Evan will be remembered for the love and laughter he brought into our lives. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will echo in our hearts, urging us to cherish life and hold close the bonds of family and friendship.

A funeral service to honor Evan’s life will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church. 

As we say goodbye, let us celebrate Evan’s incredible life and the enduring legacy of love and strength he leaves behind.

The event will now take place at the beautiful Hyde House Public Studio in Hyde Park.To ensure everyone has ample time to enjoy the activities and Evan’s artwork, we are also extending the event time.                                                            New Details:
