Thelma Marie Strub
July 10th, 1937 - December 31st, 2024
Thelma Marie Strub (Woolard) passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, in Buckley, WA, at the age of 87. Born July 10, 1937 to Irma and Knowl Woolard, Thelma lived a life marked by kindness, consideration, and honesty--qualities that left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Educated at White River High School, Thelma was a active member of the Carbonado Community Church where she cultivated a strong community presence. Her dedication to her church and broader community underscored her commitment to living a life of service and faith.
She dedicated her professional life to the service of others, working diligently at Boeing Company in Seattle, as well as Ashley House in Enumclaw, and the Rainier School in Buckley. Her career was characterized by a steadfast commitment to her responsibilities and the wellbeing of those she served, reflecting her deeply ingrained values of integrity and compassion.
In 1967 Thelma married Bud Strub who preceded in her death. Together they raised three children. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Stacey, and son-in-law, Randy Stacey; her daughter Jean Seaborn; her son, Allen Strub; granddaughter Kayla Quinones and grandson Xavier Quinones; great-grandson Oliver; grandson Kyle Stacey; and cherished cousins, Sharon Clevenger, Paul Verschueren, Lee Verschueren, and Kathy Myer.
Her legacy is further carried on by a host of extended family members who were touched by her gentle spirit.
In accordance with the family's wishes, a memorial will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made either to your favorite charity or to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation reflecting Thelma's lifelong commitment to helping others.
Thelma's enduring warmth and generosity will be missed by both her family and many friends. She leaves behind a series of cherished memories and a profound sense of gratitude for the compassion and love she spread throughout her life.
