She was born March 2, 1934 in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada to Alfee & Odile Nadeau. She lived a rich with love & determination leaving behind a legacy cherished by her family & friends.
She was united in marriage to Percy A. Byram on September 9, 1952. Jeannette instilled in her family the values of having goals, hard work and importance of family. She loved decorating for the holidays, making every occasion feel special. An avid shopper for clothing, she was always impeccably dressed in the latest vibrant outfits. She was also an excellent cook, her chicken stew and molasses cookies were legendary. At family gatherings, her stories often switching mid-sentence from English to French were a source of laughter & joy.
Beyond her role as a wife and mother, Jeannette worked for many years as the Food Service Director at Manchester Manor where her hard work and drive for perfection made a lasting impression on the owner and those who worked with her, many of whom became life long friends. Jeannette was deeply caring about her staff and the residents.
Jeannette had a great love for snow and her love of ice hockey games were well known and her ‘Booming shouts of “Shoot The Puck!!” were a familiar sound at Bolton Ice Palace and many ice rinks where her son played hockey.
Even as Alzheimer’s began to take her memories, her competitive nature remained intact especially during her favorite game of dominoes where she rarely lost a match.
Jeannette will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children Carol Schober, Anne (Ray) Dumont, Phil (Ginny) Byram, Yvette (Rich Wieland) Saucier and Galen (Shea) Byram. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Bart, Michael, Keith, Wayne, Nicole, Jackie, P.J., Yvonne, Hunter and Kaila; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
